The All Progressives Congress (APC), Publicity Secretary in Kano State, Ahmad Aruwa, has denied accusing the presidency of fuelling the crisis against the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.

The APC state spokesman, who was quoted in a video clip that went viral, on social media, pointing accusing fingers at some elements in the presidency igniting the confusion that led to the purported suspension of Ganduje, insisted on Friday that he was quoted out of context.

He said he has firm loyalty to the President Bola Ahmed-led Federal Government which accounted for the overwhelming support the president received in Kano during the last general election.

Aruwa made the clarification while reacting to media reports that quoted him accusing the presidency of sabotaging Dr. Ganduje on his purported suspension of his membership.

He maintained that those trying to reconstruct his comment on the persecution of Ganduje were the enemies of the party who had invested resources to destroy the mutual relationship between the president and the former governor of Kano.
