CAF shockingly omits Super Eagles superstar Victor Osimhen from the promotional image for AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
Nigerians are LIVID after CAF shockingly omitted Super Eagles superstar Victor Osimhen from the promotional image for the AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
Instead, CAF opted to use Nigeria winger Moses Simon in the social media post, sparking a furious backlash from eagle-eyed fans who were left baffled by the glaring snub of their African Footballer of the Year.
The decision to overlook Osimhen, as well as top scorer Ademola Lookman, has left Nigerian fans seething, with many believing the omission was a deliberate slight from CAF.
Some have even sensationally claimed the snub could be payback for Osimhen’s recent scathing Instagram rant where he launched an astonishing attack on Nigerian legend Finidi George.
Now, the Super Eagles face a daunting reunion with former manager Gernot Rohr and his Benin Republic ‘Cheetahs’ side in their quest to reach the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
But the build-up has been overshadowed by the growing fury over CAF’s baffling decision.
