China General Chamber of Commerce,Abuja, Nigeria, says no Nigerian was denied access to its Chinese Supermarket at Royal Choice Estate.
The China General Chamber of Commerce, CGCC in Abuja, Nigeria, says no Nigerian was denied access to its Chinese Supermarket at Royal Choice Estate.
Cui Guangzheng, secretary of the China Chamber of Commerce, spoke in a statement in Abuja.
Royal Choice sells Chinese foods and beverages at the China General Chamber of Commerce.
The statement follows the viral video of a resident who alleged that Nigerians were restricted from the Chinese Supermarket.
Responding to the allegation, the Nigerian government, through the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), summoned the Supermarket owners for allegedly refusing to sell to Nigerians.
FCCPC also directed the Supermarket to produce and provide its Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) status report showing the details of all directors as well as any lease agreements.
However, Guangzheng said the Supermarket has never discriminated against any individual.
He also reiterated the commitment of the chamber to ensuring equality and inclusiveness.
