The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) has met with the Imo State Ministry of Lands to discuss a proposed housing estate project in Owerri, Thursday at the state secretariat.
The Federal Housing Authority delegation, led by Peter Okpanach, General Manager of Public–private partnership in the agency, expressed their intention to partner with the state government on the project.
They assured that all necessary arrangements have been made, including resolving issues with host communities, and are ready to commence the project.
Responding, the Governor’s Special Representative at the Ministry of Lands and Chief Political Adviser, Barr. Enyinna Onuegbu, responded that the Governor has taken over the Ministry of Lands to restore public confidence, citing the need to sanitize the ministry.
He advised the Federal Housing Authority delegation to formally write to the Governor, outlining their proposal, and assured them that due process will be followed to realize their objectives.
