GOVERNOR OF ABIA STATE ASSURES CORPS MEMBERS OF MAXIMUM SUPPORT
Governor Alex Otti of Abia has assured 1337 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) that participated in the 2024 batch “A” stream 1 orientation course in the State of government support during their primary assignments.
Otti handed down this assurance Wednesday at the NYSC state orientation camp at Umunna in Bende LGA of Abia State on the occasion of their terminal parade and closing ceremony of the orientation course, assuring them Abia State government’s unwavering support and commitment to their welfare and security throughout their service year.
The governor who was represented by the Commissioner Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Sir. Nwaobilor Ananaba further reminded them, that they were ambassadors of Abia State and the state of their origin.
She advised the corps members, “Please do not loose sight of the fact that you are ambassadors of the NYSC scheme. Therefore, you must conduct yourselves in a manner that will not tarnish the good image of the scheme which your predecessors toiled to uphold”.
The Chairman NYSC State Governing Board was represented by Engr. Chibuzor Esihe, the Chief Scheduler to the Governor, while the Commander 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Ohafia was represented by Lt. Col. I. O. Kolawole, ACP Ajayi O Kayode represented the Commissioner of Police and Mr Ken Nnam represented the State Director, DSS.
