Imo State Health Insurance Agency flags off 3.0 enrollment of Pregnant Women and children under five years. old

The Imo State Health Insurance Agency, has flagged off the 3.0 enrolment of Pregnant Women children under five years old, the disabled and elderly under the Basic Health Care Provision Fund program across all Local Government Areas of the State.

Addressing the Enrollees at Ikeduru Local Government Area, which took off at Iho Basic Health Center, the representative of the Executive Secretary of Imo State Health Insurance Agency, Joy Ukwuije explained that the enrollment of Pregnant Women and Children under five years old, would be emphasized in the Program to reduced maternal and child morality rate.

According to her, Iho Community alone has been allocated one hundred and thirty three slots, urging the Enrollees to take full advantage of this opportunity to access free, high quality health care services, provided by the health center as the Government has already covered the cost of their treatment.

Ukwuije noted that all the twelve Wards of Ikeduru Local Government Area would be visited for the enrollment Program, which will last till 21st of this month.

In her remarks, the Director of Primary Health Care for Ikeduru Local Government Area, Oluchi Nwokoro urged the Enrollees to spread the awareness of the Program and motivate others to enroll for their health benefits.

Some of the Enrollees from Ihodimeze Community expressed their gratitude to Governor Hope Uzodimma for providing them access to free Healthcare.
