Imo Workers Owed 30 Months Salary Arrears, Protest Illegitimate Removal of  Names From Pay slip - Imo Trumpeta newspaper Imo workers have restated that the 30,000 Naira Minimum wage is not enough as their take home.

The State Chairman Imo Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Uche Chukwugaemezu Nwaigwe, disclosed this to newsmen in Owerri, the State Capital, while reacting to questions on the 30, 000 Naira Minimum wage.

He pleaded with Governor Hope Uzodinma to look into the plight of Imo workers, by harmonizing the wages of workers in Imo State, while noting that negotiation is ongoing, especially at the Federal level to make sure workers enjoy their wages.

Speaking further, Nwaigwe said that what Imo workers are suffering is the arrears of promotion, which three Governments that have come and gone, promised that all workers in Imo should be paid arrears in promotion but to no avail, he reiterated that what they are hoping is quick financial effect to it.
