The Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC), led by Hon. Charles Ejiogu, has officially declared the results of the local government elections held on September 21st, 2024.
During a press briefing at the ISIEC Secretariat on Owerri/Orlu Road, Hon. Ejiogu confirmed a complete sweep by the All Progressives Congress (APC), whose candidates emerged victorious across all 27 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 305 electoral wards in the state.
Ejiogu announced that all candidates of the APC have been duly elected as Councilors and Executive Council Chairmen, marking an extraordinary triumph for the party in Imo State.
He added that with such a mandate, the newly elected officials are now tasked with the critical role of driving meaningful development and ensuring impactful governance across all 27 LGAs.
